A Little Ditty about Trac and Diane.

Two American kids growing up in the heartland...

Hi, we're Tracy (Trac) and Diane Charno. Welcome to Charnopia, just left of Utopia. We document our adventures at home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where we live with our dog Chase. We’re originally from Wisconsin and made the big move south a couple years ago. We love the southern living and the beach, of course. When not soaking up the sun, sand and salty air, we’re likely traveling and enjoying the good life. Of course, good food is a part of that. Enjoy our little slice of yum in Charnopia.

More about Us

I’m a Diane, a Midwest gal moved south, brand strategist, digital navigator, traveler, baker, gardener and mom. I'm a little worried my Facebook friends may be getting annoyed with all my food and gardening pics. I thought a blog may be a better place to share. 

My three sons are all grown up and flown the coop. That’s given me more time to get back to me and find my more creative side again. I’m trying everything again from baking, cooking, gardening, knitting, traveling and more. Shopping is something I really enjoy too. (Tracy thinks Amazon should be named Dianazon.) I’ll be sure to share some of my favorite things along the way.

Tracy is builder and my handyman extraordinaire. He’s been a carpenterfor more than 30 years and has built hundreds of decks, gazebos, four-season rooms and more. He even built our house. Today, he’s traveling the country updating all kinds of stores.

This is Chase, our 12 year old Border Collie Lab Mix. He’s our miracle pup who survived parvovirus years ago. He’s a happy-go-lucky dog that enjoys playing in the snow, watching over the backyard, traveling and chasing the occasional squirrel.  You can follow his adventures at PackDog.com.
