Homemade Chocolate Sauce

How did I use the rest of my leftover heavy cream? In a homemade chocolate sauce for those turtle skillet brownies. This is an easy recipe to whip together. Just store your sauce in a mason jar in the refrigerator. Warm and serve as needed on ice cream or skillet turtle brownies. 

Homemade Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks

Directions

Heat the cream and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chocolate, stirring, until it’s melted and smooth. Remove from heat, pour in a mason jar, cool to room temperature. Store in refrigerator until needed. Warm up before serving or garnishing food such as ice cream or turtle skillet brownies.
